Planned service · in development

WhatsApp Business Platform integration

A planned service that connects a business’s own website and software to WhatsApp, through Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform, for transactional messages customers expect.

Current status: in development, not yet available

Integrated Solutions and Technology W.L.L. is applying to Meta to become a Tech Provider on the WhatsApp Business Platform. Meta decides on that application, and approval is not guaranteed.

Until it is approved, the company is not a Meta Tech Provider, a Meta Business Partner or an approved WhatsApp Business Solution Provider, and no business uses this service.

How the service will work

  1. A business event happens

For example, a customer books an appointment in the business’s own website or system.

  2. Our integration prepares the message

It checks that the customer agreed to WhatsApp messages, fills in an approved template and logs the request.

  3. WhatsApp delivers it

The message is sent through the WhatsApp Business Platform, from the business’s own number and display name.

  4. Status comes back

Delivery and read status return to the business’s system, and replies reach the business.

Customer onboarding

Each business keeps ownership of its own WhatsApp account. Onboarding will follow Meta’s official process:

  1. Agreement

The business agrees in writing what will be sent, to whom and when, and accepts our terms.

  2. Connect through Meta

The business signs in with its own Facebook or Meta business account in Meta’s official signup flow. There it accepts Meta’s terms, chooses or creates its business portfolio and WhatsApp Business account, verifies its phone number by code, and sets its display name. Where Meta supports it, a number already used in the WhatsApp Business app can be connected.

  3. Payment method

The business adds its own payment method to its WhatsApp account, for Meta’s messaging charges.

  4. Templates

Message templates are prepared with the business and submitted to Meta for review.

  5. Integration and testing

We connect the business’s systems and test every message before it reaches real customers.

  6. Go live and support

Messages start, and the business can review, pause or disconnect the service at any time in Meta’s WhatsApp Manager.

Meta may ask a business to complete its own business verification before raising its messaging limits.

Message types and templates

Outside a 24-hour window after the customer’s last message, a business can only start a conversation with a message template that Meta has reviewed. Meta groups templates into categories:

Utility

Updates about something the customer did or asked for: confirmations, reminders, status changes. This is the main focus of the planned service.

Authentication

One-time verification codes, using Meta’s fixed wording and security notice.

Marketing

Promotional messages. These require separate marketing consent, and they are not part of the service we are planning.

Responsible messaging practices

  • Messages are short, relevant and expected, and are sent at sensible times.
  • No purchased, scraped or shared contact lists, and no unsolicited messages.
  • No sensitive personal data in message content beyond what the purpose needs.
  • Each business shows an accurate WhatsApp profile with real contact details.
  • We will monitor delivery, blocks and the quality rating Meta assigns, and pause sending that causes problems.
  • Each business’s data stays separate and is used only to send that business’s messages.

How charges will work

Meta charges for certain WhatsApp messages according to its published pricing, billed by Meta directly to the business’s own WhatsApp account.

Any fee for our integration and support work will be agreed in writing with each business before the service starts.

What we will not do

  • Message people who have not agreed to receive messages.
  • Use a business’s customer data for our own purposes, or share it with another business.
  • Present ourselves as Meta, WhatsApp or one of their partners.

Data handling

When the service is available, we will process message data only on behalf of, and at the direction of, the business that sends it. Our Privacy Policy explains what is processed and how deletion can be requested.
